THE NAME BEHIND THE TRACK

José Carlos Pace

The São Paulo-born José Carlos Pace won his home Grand Prix here in 1975. The circuit carries his name.

02 / THE LAP

Where the lap is won. And lost.

01

SENNA S → RETA OPOSTA

Make the opening count.

The braking zone into Turn 1 is a major passing opportunity. The road falls through the Senna S, then Turn 3 feeds the back straight. Stay close here and Turn 4 gives you another chance.

02

THE INFIELD

Now the rhythm changes.

Fast Turns 6 and 7 lead into the tighter middle section. The slow Bico de Pato at Turn 10 interrupts the flow before the lap opens out again.

03

JUNÇÃO → THE LINE

Get the exit right.

Turn 12 launches the long uphill run through the final corners. A poor exit leaves you exposed all the way back to the first braking zone.
