HONDA’S TEST TRACK

1987

Opened in 1962, Suzuka first hosted a championship Grand Prix in 1987.

02 / THE LAP

Where the lap is won. And lost.

01

THE S CURVES

Find the rhythm.

Each change of direction sets up the next. Watch the hands: a tidy sequence looks almost effortless.

02

THE DEGNERS

Leave no loose ends.

The two Degners break up the flow with their own precise demands. This is no place for a casual entry.

03

130R & THE FINISH

Stay committed.

130R is the headline act. The lap still needs finishing properly before the run back to the line.

04 / GOING THERE

Less guesswork. More racing.

GETTING IN

Start with your gate.

Check the gate and transport instructions attached to your ticket before setting off. The nearest entrance on a map may not be the entrance for your grandstand.

Allow time for the walk and security checks. Confirm current access, permitted items and accessibility arrangements with the organiser.

EVENT & ACCESS INFORMATION

CHOOSING A VIEW

Different seats. Different race.

Grandstands D and E overlook the S Curves. Grandstand I is the option for the Hairpin; G offers a 130R view.

Check the current seating plan and the view from your exact block. Ticket categories and sightlines can change between events.

F1’S CIRCUIT & VIEWING GUIDE
What should I check before travelling?

Your ticket gate, current transport arrangements, entry rules and weather forecast. Confirm accessibility and permitted items with the organiser.

Is the lap record the fastest lap ever driven here?

No. A race lap record is set during a Grand Prix. Qualifying laps happen under different conditions and are a separate benchmark.
