The original intention, he believes, was for Antonelli to hone his skills in Formula 2 before stepping up to the top tier.
Antonelli’s struggles since joining Mercedes are evident in his performance metrics. While his teammate, George Russell, has amassed a commendable 33 points at European circuits, Antonelli has managed just six.
