Lewis Hamilton has vowed to secure at least one victory in his final season with Mercedes before his switch to Ferrari next year. The seven-time world champion, who hasn’t won a race since the 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, insists he won’t let his time at the team end on a winless note.
Speaking ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix, Hamilton said: “I’ve got eight races left, and I’m not accepting that I won’t win one of them. That’s just not an option for me.”
Mercedes has faced a tough 2024, with Hamilton’s best results being a string of podiums but no top step. His teammate George Russell claimed the team’s only win so far, at the Austrian Grand Prix. Despite the challenges, Hamilton remains focused on pushing the W15 car to its limits in the closing rounds.
The Briton’s move to Ferrari in 2025 will see him partner Charles Leclerc, as the Italian squad aims to challenge for titles. For now, though, Hamilton’s priority is clear: ending his Mercedes chapter with success.
