Horner Accuser Exits Red Bull in Fresh Twist

The female Red Bull employee who accused former team principal Christian Horner of inappropriate behaviour has left the team to take up a new position elsewhere in motorsport, according to reports.

Her departure follows Horner’s sacking earlier this month after 20 years at the helm of the Milton Keynes squad. Red Bull dismissed Horner on 9 July, appointing Laurent Mekies as his replacement amid ongoing internal tensions.

The accuser, whose identity remains private, lodged complaints against Horner in early 2024, sparking an internal probe that initially cleared him. However, an appeal and fresh scrutiny persisted into 2025, contributing to the turmoil that led to his exit.

Sources indicate she has now moved to a different role within the sport, though details of her new employer are not public. Red Bull has not commented on the matter.

This development comes as the team, led by drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez, pushes through a challenging 2025 season, sitting second in the constructors’ standings behind McLaren. The Belgian Grand Prix last weekend saw Verstappen finish fourth, with the summer break now underway before racing resumes in Zandvoort.
