The discussions, fueled by the unfolding scandal linked to Horner’s alleged personal misconduct, spotlight the gravity of the situation at F1’s 2024 dawn.
Speculation is rife, with some voices suggesting Horner’s actions could tarnish “the interests of motorsport,” a serious breach that could prompt decisive action.
“I think the sanctioning body has a responsibility and authority to our sport and to our fans,” declared McLaren’s Zak Brown, hinting at the need for a firm stance.
Toto Wolff, echoing the sentiment, stated, “They have to think about what they do now with that information. But we want to concentrate on racing now. We’ve been talking non-stop about this topic for weeks.”
Despite Red Bull GmbH’s exoneration of Horner, leaked private communications have stirred the pot, bewildering even Dr. Helmut Marko who admitted, “I was completely confused and surprised that the documents have been leaked. I haven’t looked at them myself.”
